Position Description:

Under new ownership with A&K, the Crystal Serenity & Crystal Symphony will continue to serve Crystal Cruises; the epitome of contemporary luxury. We are currently recruiting for experienced 2nd Engineer ( watch keeper ) for cruise vessel CRYSTAL SYMPHONY

Embarkation 14/December/2024, contract 3 months on/off

Salary will be paid in USD/per month worked on board.

Required: experience as such, all valid STCW Certificates, preferably with III/2 CoC, good references/recommendations.

Candidiates must be vaccinated for influenza or willing to do it !

Technical Department Responsibility 5 - Oily Water Separator

- the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the oily water separator

 

Technical Department Responsibility 6 – Separators

- the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the separators

 

Technical Department Responsibility 16 - Engine Room Watchkeeping

- keeping of Engine Room watches as required and identified by the Chief Engineer in accordance with the VMS

Note: Identify composition of the watches at minimum for:

- normal operating conditions

- conditions other than normal as identified by the Master e.g. restricted visibility, ice zone, high traffic density, manoeuvring, etc.

The composition of the watches shall be adequate and appropriate to the plant and machinery involved.

For ships with Unattended Machinery Spaces Certificate, adequate personnel shall always attend the Engine Control Room

Technical Department Responsibility 18 - Log Books

- making entries and maintaining correct and up-to-date, as applicable:

- Engine Log Book

- technical or waste related Logbooks, including but not limited to: Oil Record Book, Wastewaters discharge, Ozone Depleting Substances, Oil-to-Sea-Interfaces, Marine Fuel Sulphur etc.

  • Abide by the Environmental Protection rules and regulations and to actively participate in REDUCING, REUSING and RECYCLING schemes in place

 

All employees shall participate actively in ALL HSEQ activities and promote safe practices as an integrated management approach to business.
