Position Description:

We are currently recruiting for experienced ELECTRONICS TECHNICAL OFFICER ( ETO) for SILVERSEA cruises - cruise vessel SILVER MUSE

Embarkation SILVER MUSE - beginning of October 2023

Salary in USD/per month worked on board.
Contract 3 months +/-1
Required: experience as such, all valid STCW Certificates, if possible with ETO ( STCW Reg.III/6 ), good references/recommendations
MUST BE VACCINATED FOR COVID WITH BOOSTER !


Job Objective

  1. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electronic equipment and systems onboard as directed by the Chief Electrician.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance (to include but not limited to the following):
  2. Electric Propulsion control system
  3. Safety systems (Fire Alarm and ESD Systems)
  4. Automation System
  5. Integrated Navigation system
  6. Elevators control system
  7. Public Address System
  8. HVAC control system
  1. Assist with repairs and maintenance of:
  2. LES systems
  3. Light dimmering control
  4. Internal and external communication systems

Safety

  1. Participates in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions.
  2. Must always comply with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures

Education/Experience:

  1. Electrical or Electronic Engineer
  2. Valid STCW95 certification
  3. appropriate licenses and certificates as required by regulations
  4. Extensive experience in subordinate positions onboard ships and preferable experience in a similar position
  5. Physically and medically fit
  6. Moral integrity is required

Language requirements:

  1. Fluent English (verbal and written)
