Driver Trainer- (Meet & Greet Team) ADI Qualified

This is an exciting time at Manchester Airport as we undergo a £1 billion transformation of our terminals. As we continue to grow we are seeking experienced Trainers to join us on this exciting journey.

Do you have...

-A passion for training, coaching and mentoring?

-Experience in delivering on-going training programmes?

-Hold an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) qualification?

-The ability to actively challenge, and act upon unsafe driving practices?

In this role you will work closely with the Lead Driver Trainer, to ensure that colleagues within the Car Parks team are fully trained and continually assessed. You will be responsible for ensuring the role is carried out safely, efficiently and in a way which proactively improves performance, H & S Culture and enhances the customer experience.

You will support a yearly driving assessment programme for all colleagues, and deliver on-going training to our Meet and Greet team of circa 300 employees, as well as supporting training for teams across the Landside Operations Department- such as Traffic Marshall, Control Room and other M&G operations.

The M&G team currently produce an estimate of 880,000 vehicle movements annually; you will assist as a team in promoting our driving standards, to ensure this is completed with minimal damage and to high standards. In order to reduce small claims spend, you would help to drive a 20% reduction in this area.

You will assist to develop, and deliver a brand new induction and training programme; your designated area of input would be around post-accident investigation, and designing a plan to reduce accident damage, and address the root of the cause.

To ensure the car parking team can continue to employ the best quality drivers, you will conduct pre-employment driving tests. Additional duties would include spot checks on vehicles, producing reports, and conducting yearly driving refresher courses.



Essential Criteria for this role includes:

-Hold an ADI qualification- (Approved Driving Instructor)

-People management experience – including managing performance

-IT literate including Excel and PowerPoint

-Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to multi-task

-Excellent verbal, numerical and communication skills

-Experience of working under pressure in a fast paced environment

-Ability to work as a team, and champion the safety and well-being of colleagues

Holding a LGV 2 driving license, or/and a RoSPA/IAM (advanced driving qualification) would be desirable. Having the ability to deliver C1E Driver Training would be advantageous.
