Task Responsibilities:

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Analyst will support the 3 pillars of ER&R (Emergency Response & Resilience): 1) Process Compliance, 2) Stakeholder Engagement & Training, and 3) Continuous Improvement. The main objective of this position is the creation and implementation of the Business Continuity Plan and the Disaster Recovery Plan focusing on high-risk disruption scenarios impacting critical assets and IT infrastructure, in compliance with industry requirements and best practices, guaranteeing the awareness and engagement of internal and external stakeholders, and the regular training and freshness of internal procedures and manuals.


Main responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and maintain the Business Continuity Plan and the Disaster Recovery Plan in compliance with the regulatory framework, company requirements, and industry best practices
  • Research, analyze, and compile industry standards and best practices on a regular basis
  • Perform business impact analysis and risk assessment
  • Identify and implement business continuity strategies for disruption scenarios impacting critical assets
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to increase Cargolux Business Resilience awareness
  • Ensure operational readiness and compliance in collaboration with Cargolux departments and stations
  • Coordinate training and simulation exercises provided to cross-functional teams supporting business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Identify and implement solutions to continuously improve business continuity processes, tools, and systems

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Previous experience with Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery is desirable.
  • Previous training or experience with IATA/ICAO Aviation Resilience guidelines and/or ISO 27031/ISO 22301 implementation would be considered an advantage.
  • Planning skills to develop, implement, and improve the business continuity and the disaster recovery plans. 
  • Analytical skills. Ability to assess the risks of disruption and analyze the business impact.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Technical proficiency. Familiarity with IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity tools and protocols.
  • Strong organizational and program management skills. Ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is a must; any other language is considered an advantage.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation in business continuity processes.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time contract based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
