Task Responsibilities:

Join our Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) division as a Technical Contracts and Maintenance Sales Specialist and become part of a team, managing strategic technical contracts as well as driving maintenance sales!

As part of your work on Maintenance & Engineering Contracts, you will be responsible to:

  • Conduct, analyze, and present to management tenders for aircraft maintenance-related services, including the procurement and repair of components, heavy checks , aircraft modifications, and engineering services.
  • Analyze, negotiate, prepare and administer contracts with external maintenance providers MROs, parts suppliers, and OEMs, ensuring compliance with EASA requirements.
  • Ensure contracts reflect operational needs, safety standards, airworthiness responsibilities, and legal & regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate closely with all departments of Maintenance & Engineering division to align contractual aspects with internal requirements.

As part of your work on Maintenance Sales, you will be responsible to:

  • Promote and sell Cargolux’s certified Part-145 maintenance services – including line maintenance, base maintenance, and component repair—to third-party customers.
  • Identify and seek approvals for available capacity and align it with customer requirements while maintaining compliance and operational requirements of the airline.
  • Prepare and negotiate offers for external maintenance services, including technical content, pricing, and service-level agreements.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with external customers while reviewing customer performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance commercial commitments with operational planning and resource availability.

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Aerospace), Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience is a similar role; Experience in the aviation industry and/or maintenance is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, writing, creative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Initiative-taking with strong prioritization skills.
  • Methodical and organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts.
  • Experience in the aviation industry and/or maintenance is an asset.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent full-time position based in Luxembourg.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
  • The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned to avoid conflicting with service needs. Flexibility is needed with working hours.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • The shortlisted candidates will perform a practical assessment as part of the recruitment process.
