Job Purpose and Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised individual to join our team as an eCommerce Senior Operations Specialist at Canon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of our eCommerce operations, including being responsible for Operations sign-off on business projects, managing external partners, handling reporting, optimising packaging processes, and taking charge of sustainability initiatives. This role requires excellent communication skills, project management expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

Salary: between £39,211 and £46,131 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

What we ask

Project Management:

Initiate and lead projects to enhance the E-Commerce operation. • Serve as the Operations lead across key business projects including:

  • E-Commerce re-platforming: Manage coordination, execution, and reporting for Golden Order validation.
  • DRBG (Developing Regions Business Group) Expansion: Support the rollout to 2 new countries in 2025 with plans to expand to 10 additional countries over the next 3 years.

  • Warehouse and logistics Strategy

Warehouse Management:

• Act as a primary point of contact for all E-Commerce warehouse operations - currently managing two sites, with the expansion to four expected by the end of 2026.
• Conduct regular meetings and provide comprehensive overviews across all warehouse locations.
• Contribute to monthly Management Business Reviews (MBRs), with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives and action item tracking.
• Collaborate with all warehouse teams to optimize packaging for and to minimize customer complaints.
• Work with CENV team to shape the E-Commerce logistics and distribution strategy in alignment with EMEA Mid-Term Plan (MTP).

Delivery Management:

• Serve as the sole liaison for the delivery service provider, conducting regular meetings and ensuring accountability for service issues.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse team to provide relevant delivery reporting and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
• Lead and support delivery related projects, including the development of customised customer communication emails and contracting with new additional/replacement delivery partners.

Returns Account Management:

• Manage the returns supplier, ensuring adherence to SLAs and driving  improvements in service quality.  
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives including recycling take-back scheme, paperless returns, and evaluation of alternative returns partners for potential cost savings.

Terms and Conditions / FAQ Management:

• Ensure store Terms and Conditions are regularly updated, legally approved and updated in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and relevant FAQs across all stores, accounting for country-specific variations.

Reporting:

• Generate and provide existing and new reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to meet the operational needs of the business

Sustainability Initiatives:

• Take responsibility for sustainability efforts that impact E-Commerce, including compliance with plastic packaging tax regulations and levies
• Implement and manage the Recycling Takeback Scheme and ink cartridge recycling envelope rollout to multiple countries using a Tealium solution
• Act as the E-Commerce subject matter expert on sustainability responsibilities and improvements.

Operations Processes:

Reviewing, documenting and improving operations processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Be the in-house expert to train internally on new processes and the implementation of new initiatives.

You will need

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevent experience in Business, Operations Management, or related field
• Proven experience in eCommerce operations, logistics, or a related field
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulations preferred
• Experience in working with international partners and managing global operations is a plus
