Job Purpose and Summary

Canon EMEA is looking for a Business IT Consultant for the Sales and Contract Management  domain. You will be responsible for the conversion of business process requirements into solution requirements and functional designs (data, process, technology). In your role you will guide and approve the translation of these designs to IT solutions and drive the adoption of the resulting IT solutions.

This position is internally known as Solution & Adoption Consultant – Sales and Contract Management

  • Drive Change Management and Adoption for Sales and Contract Management implementation to ensure benefits are realized:
  • Facilitating change management/ user adoption of the Sales CPQ and Contract Management solution, by providing expertise and good practice.
  • Align with BU/ Function stakeholders to put in place key metrics (to be tracked by ERP PMO) to give leadership visibility and insight into the usage and adoption of the platform.
  • Provide production support at request of IT Operations and directed by the Principal / Lead Consultant
  • Review and approve all application changes resulting from problem management.
  • Participate in incident analysis and problem resolution where expertise is required and / or where the issues are complex or impact multiple processes.
  • Participate in trend analysis of all incidents and Root Cause Analysis of Major/Top incidents (especially caused by change under the ERP COE). Drive resulting improvements preventing reoccurrence by either technical refactoring that can be absorbed in project releases or propose changes for budget approval.
  • Apply Compliancy controls for the delivery of applications
  • Contribute to the Domains and Communities of Practice. Maintain the IT knowledge base of the Domain (baseline documentation).
  • Manage key Business Unit / Function stakeholders, ERP COE (Solution Control, Factory, RACC/TF), EIT (O&I, Security, CPMO)

  • Clear, complete, and accurate requirements and functional designs.
  • Best fitting process/IT solutions with minimal customizations.
  • Clear, complete, and accurate impact assessments.
  • IT solutions and related test plans in line with functional designs.
  • User adoption of the IT solution.
  • IT knowledge base of assigned Domain areas.

What we ask

  • Experience in IT and relevant domain, preferably in Sales CPQ and Contract Management with an excellent track record in project implementations preferably across multiple countries.
  • Strong experience in Sales and Contract Management rollout change management and training.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and sound-decision making capabilities, recognized by alternative solutions, and confident, accurate, decision-making coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to organize and lead meetings, set out actions and perform progress control on deliverables.  Be the escalation point for issues which are raised by project team members.
  • Adept at translating business process requirements into IT requirements and functional designs, and guiding the IT solution towards business implementation.
  • Solid knowledge of the relevant Canon IT custom applications (CPQ and CM) or similar ERP experience proven by certification \ track record.
  • Understanding of and experience with best practice methodologies like  SAFe and Scrum, and related tooling.
  • Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.
