Job Purpose and Summary:
- Lead organization on Environment, Product Safety (PS) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues, in Poland as well as 4CE/CCEE region
- Responsible for creating & executing local strategies and action plans
- Responsible for local legal compliance with environmental legislation,
- Responsible for the implementation and daily operation of sustainability activities and administering the Environment Management Systems.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Legal Compliance: to ensure the company complies with any legal requirements in terms of environmental or product legislation.
- Standards: to ensure that the organization achieves and maintains standards as a part of the organization strategy e.g. ISO14001; maintain environmental management systems, including necessary process descriptions, instructions for the daily operations, internal and external audits, addressing of non-conformities, communication, preventive and corrective actions, documentation and management review.
- Environmental Performance: engage with and advise senior management to deliver continued improvements to environmental performance; deliver objectives, waste and emission management.
- Business development: work closely with wider EMEA team and with colleagues in other countries to develop pan-EMEA policies, initiatives and projects; deliver sufficient training to all staff to support ISO14001; support sales and marketing, support customer requests and responses to tenders.
- Reporting: to provide accurate and timely data and reports to regulatory authorities, Canon Europe, and Canon Inc in line with reporting requirements.
- Finance/Budget: Develop, agree with HQ and manage the organization’s local budget for sustainability, control of sustainability costs.
- Projects and Activities: lead and organise environmental and social activities as required as part of Canon’s strategy and objectives.

Further Information
- This job may require occasional travel (Europe). High level of efficiency of working in a virtual/geographically dispersed team and under minimal supervision is a must.
