Job Purpose and Summary

Canon UK are looking for talented people to join us at an exciting time for our business, as we enter into a period of accelerated growth and development.

This dynamic role works as part of our Professional service team of trained camera and lens technicians, providing support to professional customers who use Canon cameras and lenses. With a love of technology and a strong interest in photography or videography, Canon welcomes those with experience in repair to apply to be a Canon professional camera repair technician in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

Once trained you will have to opportunity to support large scale events such as the Olympics, Football World Cup, Grand Prix’s, and many others.

  • Pay – Salary Range starting at  £33,165 + productivity-based bonus scheme where you can earn an additional £4,000 per anum.

What we ask

You will:

  • Ideally you will possess a technician repair background
  • Have a strong eye for detail. Canon will provide training for experienced repair technicians with a background in repairing products at a similar level to Canon Imaging products.
  • Have an interest in photography  and ideally will have used photographic products/technology in the past
  • Happy to travel for occasional external events both in the UK and abroad
  • Confident in liaising with a professional customer base via Email, Phone, or face to face
  • Competent user of MS Office and various windows based operating systems.
  • You will have an excellent command of English, written and verbal and possess confident customer service skills.
  • Full Driving License required

You will need

As a Camera and lens Repair Technician you will possess the following skills and expertise:

  • An electrical and mechanical repairs backgroun
  • Engineering/Electrical engineering qualifications would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • An enjoyment of problem solving with the ability to fault find on various products
  • Comfortable working to specific deadlines on a regular basis
  • A keenness to develop and repair multiple items across the Canon range – Training provided
  • Open to travel when needed
  • Comfortable dealing with a professional customer base

Further Information

Salary: starting from £33,165 - £36,092  depending on experience. Workshop productivity bonus with max potential of £333 per month.

Location: Canon PSC UK - Elstree, Hertfordshire
