 We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Engineer to join our central Digital HR team that focuses on Canon’s Learning Management and Performance & Talent Management suite of systems (Cornerstone OnDemand - CSOD). This role can be either based in our central locations in The Netherlands (Amstelveen or Venlo) or in the UK.

You’ll play a vital role in working with stakeholders across EMEA to help maintain, upgrade and future-proof the IT landscape that supports our Learning, Talent and Performance processes for more than 15,000 end-users.

Place in the organization:

You will be part of a central Digital HR team, reporting into the EMEA Digital HR Manager and working with both central and local Learning & Development stakeholders within all our EMEA entities. Within this Digital HR team you will be working on our Canon’s Learning Management and Performance & Talent Management suite of systems that plays a crucial role in training our employees and partners next to supporting our talent and performance processes for our employees.

The Responsibilities:

The HRIS Engineer is responsible for requirements analysis, business process mapping, training, solution design, and implementation of Canon’s Learning Management and Performance Talent Management suite of products. You will be responsible for system configuration based on specific requirements as well as ensuring that the solution is properly tested and the organization is prepared to successfully adopt it at launch. Then after launch, you will be 3rd line support in case the system is not working according to the requirements or in case of complex questions that 1st and 2nd line support cannot handle.

As a HRIS Engineer, you will be the functional lead for new Learning, Talent and Performance management functionality configuration and implementations, responsible for gathering client’s business and technical requirements, translating those requirements to system configurations, leading configuration workshops and training sessions, supporting client User Acceptance Testing and system deployment.

The position involves working closely with internal clients and colleagues to do the following:

  • Gather requirements and define and map current processes in order to create "to be" business processes for the client based on current best practices.
  • Analyze and document design specifications for the application.
  • Implement application design by working closely with the client.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing efforts and act as the liaison between the client and the system implementation team in troubleshooting product issues as they apply to the client's business.
  • Participate in end-user training by providing both product knowledge and insight on the client's business processes and solution design.

What we ask

You’re a pro-active, delivery focused functional expert who will take responsibility for requirements analysis, business process mapping, solution design, training and implementation. You’ll be a good fit if:

  • You’re an experienced functional HRIS expert with a proven knowledge of supporting Learning & Development (LMS), Performance Management (PMS) and Talent Management (TMS) applications.
  • You have a demonstrable ability to consult system owners and users to design solutions that meet complex system and business challenges.
  • You have knowledge of system implementation and deployment methodologies used for Cornerstone OnDemand products or similar LMS applications.
  • You have experience in design, development, implementation, deployment and support of HR (cloud) systems.
  • You enjoy working in an international environment with lots of collaboration and interaction.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • You are able to work independently, as well as contribute significantly in coordination with a team.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing, positive attitude.
  • You have a passion for service, pride in the quality of their work, and the instinct to follow-through until a job is properly done well.
  • You have attention to detail and are solution-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be resourceful and take initiative.
  • You have strong problem solving, analytical and MS Office skills.
  • You’re able to manage, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple projects.
  • You’re flexible to can adapt to the dynamic nature of consulting engagements.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proactive mindset driven by change and results, be willing to organize, clarify, and take initiative when required, and possess knowledge of other HR-based software, with Cornerstone product certifications and expertise in Cornerstone LMS, Performance, and Talent being preferred.
