 Role and Department

Are you looking for an internship in the field of IT? Canon is looking for an Intern for a period of 6 months starting per September 2024 to join our IT team covering Security Operations. As an intern, your role will be to investigate and resolve IT Security incidents documenting the investigation finding and solution applied. You will support in proactive security activities such as vulnerability scanning, responding to tickets, and security posture improvement. As an intern, you will play an important part in our It team. You will be working in an open and international environment.

Throughout the internship you will be assigned a project to complete by end of the 6-month period, as well as:

During your first 3 months, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Understand the setup of a security operations team
  • Learn the tooling that the team uses to keep Canon secure
  • Learn to identify what is a false positive and true positive security incident
  • Support in improving the security posture.

 

For the last 3 months, you will be able to:

  • Handle security incidents from detection until closure.

What we ask

We are looking for:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English;
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel required).
  • You are a HBO/WO student;
  • We prefer that the intern is enrolled at a Dutch university or college for the  entire duration of the internship and must provide us with an internship agreement.
  • In case of non-EU nationality the student must have a legitimate work permit with student status, which will not expire during the duration of the internship. Students from outside the EU need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed bythe student and the university.
