Canon UK are looking for a passionate Financial Analyst. The Financial analyst will play a key support role in supporting the Financial Accounting Manager, achieving all deliverables in a timely and efficient way. The focus of the role is on management of JDE accounting, helping with inventory, collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.

What we ask

• Ensuring proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements
• Will be responsible for providing insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of month end JDE accounts for UK and subsidiaries.
• Build a strong understanding of finance systems especially JDE and international accounting standards
• Help financial accountant with inventory reconciliation and clean up
• Liaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Preparation of the USGaap balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances verses prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in timely manner
• Continuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimisation
• Supporting the accounting manager with monthly and adhoc tasks as required

 

You will need

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards accounting qualification
• Advanced Excel skills, macro knowledge will be advantageous
• Experience using different IT systems
• Communicate Effectively
• Planning & Organisation
• Attention to detail

Contracted hours are 37.5 hours over 5 days. This role is primarily office based, with the ability to work from home two-day per
week. Job sharing can also be considered.
