Job Purpose and Summary

1. The Candidate would be responsible for Channel – Tier 2 development and empowerment.  Tier-2 is defined as the dealers or resellers of Canon Products who purchases Canon products from Canon’s designated distributors (business partners).

  • Channel Penetration.
  • Demand Generation.
  • Brand Visibility.
  • Enhance Canon MASH in the country.

  1. Map Channel, Account and Competition
  2. Identify, asset and recruit Tier 2 partners by defining right sales objectives, put in place the action plan and follow up
  3. Introduce Canon DS Value Products and professional print to dealers, train them and make sure they are always up to date
  4. Achieve monthly sell on target per product category
  5. Provide monthly sell on and sell out reports.
  6. Carry out demand generation activities like Events & Seminars.
  7. Monitor the Channel Partner program in the country with regular mechanism of Sell out reporting.
  8. Enhance Canon’s brand awareness in the market by improving showroom visibility and demos
  9. Propose and Support BDM in planning and organizing of local product launch events.
  10. Prepare the Marketing Activity Calendar in coordination with the BDM, Sales Manager and the Tier 1 partner.
  11. Appoint / Work with local marketing agency to carry out planned activities in the local market in coordination with Marketing team adhering to Canon brand and corporate guidelines.

Previous Experience, Education and Job Learning

  • Relevant recognized formal qualifications (university level) - desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar international or regional sales role (with a similar company, national distributor or trading company) – very desirable
  • Background and knowledge of market environments – desirable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French language - essential.
  • High level of written and spoken communications – essential.
  • Professional appearance, attitude and communication style – essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint - essential.
