The Pensions Audit Senior takes responsibility for running the audit, working directly with the client. The
Audit Senior manages the audit team and supervises the audit process to ensure that our audits are of high
quality and conducted efficiently.

? Carries out and takes responsibility for the planning, execution and completion of all areas of the audit
assignment for manager or partner review.
? Produces fully completed work clearly highlighting issues and solutions.
? Active engagement and communication with senior client staff, scheme administrators and trustees.
? Takes primary responsibility for the efficient execution of the audit and for monitoring progress against
budget, communicating with the Manager on progress against budget and timetable.
? Manage, coach and develop junior members of staff within the team
? Compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory)
? Participate in group, stream and firm wide activities

? Taking responsibility for several audit assignments running concurrently, monitoring their progress and
pursuing outstanding information as required to ensure timely completion of each assignment.
? Committed to achieving completion of assignments within the agreed timescale.
? Undertaking and completing the detailed planning, execution and all aspects of the completion phases
of pension audits with the expectation of minimal interventions from the manager (ie few review
? Supervise and train junior staff and review their work on assignments.
? Assisting and working with the manager on the pre-planning and finalisation aspects of the audit
assignments and general client communications and relationship management.
? Involvement in formal staff training in relation to pension schemes and their audit.
? Actively suggest and implement technical and efficiency updates to team’s operations.
? In time, managing a small portfolio of small pension audits.

? Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
? Educated up to A-level (University entry equivalent).
? Experience supervising and coaching junior members of staff.
? Experience in undertaking and supervising UK external audits.
? Working knowledge of UK Auditing Standards, UK GAAP and the Pensions SORP
? Working knowledge of firm services, issues regarding ethics, and regulation.
? Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends relating to occupational pension
