Position Description:

We are looking for Incinerator Technician for ROYAL CARIBBEAN GROUP

Embarkation January/February 2025

Salary in USD//per month worked - will be informed upon interview!

Contract 8 months +/-1

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Incinerator Technician shall assist the 2nd Engineer, Environmental with the maintenance and repair of following installation, and in this respect is directly subordinate to him.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 RCL places the highest value on the environment, and all employees shall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work with supervisors to uphold the company's environmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment. He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly.  Incinerator plant with related equipment including ash vacuum transport and packaging system.  Shredders, Conveyors, pumps and pipes.  Garbage handling equipment.  Glass crusher, compactors, pulpers, extractors, holding tanks, pumps, and pipes.  Supervise the Incinerator Operator and “Pulper man”. Also keeps a watchful eye on cleanliness and neatness of all garbage areas within his responsibility, taking action to ensure areas are clean and orderly at all times.  Mechanical maintenance of all electric forklifts.  At a minimum, change water in pulper systems daily. For systems where pulper water changes continuously, refer to the technical water fill flow meter once a day to ensure that a complete change of water has taken place. If not, adjust flow accordingly. 
Record keeping 1. Log times when garbage is incinerated. 2. Log times when garbage is landed in port. 
Wash and rinse: 1. Ash and tin containers.
 Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor.
