Recruiting for experienced SOUND & LIGHT Managers for SILVERSEA - cruise vessel SILVER SPIRIT, SILVER MOON, SILVER MUSE
Embarkation November 2021

Position Summary
1. Assists the Cruise Director in delivering high quality, individualized and technically excellent
entertainment services for guests whilst complying with any Company Policies and towards a goal of
achieving total guest satisfaction.
Reporting Structure
1. Reporting to the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director (where applicable).
2. Subordinates – DJ/Entertainment Technician.
Responsibilities
1. Operates Sound & Light equipment for all entertainment activities in public areas.
2. Supervises and schedules the DJ/Entertainment Technician.
3. Designs lighting for guest entertainers and on board cast cabaret shows.
4. Reports defects of technical equipment to Fleet LES Account Consultant and Entertainment Manager
in a timely manner.
5. Checks all public areas for continuous music and proper atmosphere.
6. Maintains background music servers ensuring the correct music is available on the ship-wide AMX
systems with the assistance of the Broadcast Manager.
7. Runs nightly shows with special attention to the sound level.
8. Arranges sound checks and lighting checks for all performances.
9. Organizes spotlight operators and accurately files their work sheets.
10. Carries out all the set-ups (including scenery for Production shows), break-down and clean-up of
equipment in public areas with the assistance of the DJ/Entertainment Technician.
11. Set up for any lectures and special Enrichment events (i.e. culinary demonstrations, guest lectures,
bridge lectures, wine tastings, shore concierge port talks, special group events).
12. Reports daily to Cruise Director in case other work is required
13. Maintains, cleans and organizes sound booth and stage areas on a daily basis.
14. Practices preventative maintenance.
15. Completes regular technical reports and submits to the Cruise Director.
16. Proactively responds to issues or potential problems quickly and efficiently involving relevant people
as required. Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate
supervisor. Keeping the Cruise Director promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of
significance.
17. Socializes with guests when in public rooms.
18. Assists with the induction of new crew.
19. Adjust schedule and location independently when the overall daily operation changes.
20. Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creating
positive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs.
21. Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor.
