Job Purpose 
 

  • Ensure all work is delivered to agreed budgets and campaigns are properly documented and analysed in accordance with London Stansted Airport/M.A.G procedures and are fully compliant in line with brand and legal rulings.  Secure third party/match funding whenever possible. Full wrap up of campaigns to be complete one month following campaign end.

  • Continually share best practice with marketing colleagues/the wider business ensuring the evaluation of activity drives future activity/improvements on ROI. 

  • Develop local insight in the local catchment area and use this to implement airport activity. Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge for the accounts you manage which includes brand guidelines, customer profile, marketing activity and distribution.

  • Develop long term relationships with key retail partners by understanding their business model and strategy, captured on London Stansted Airport marketing plans, supporting with delivery as required.  This should include competitor activity. Develop joint workings with key account retail partners to deliver comprehensive, insight driven, results evidenced marketing plans via consumer and trade activity, performance information as applicable.

  • Establish collaborative yet challenging working relationships with key business areas through regular dialogue and meetings, supporting the Retail team in promoting marketing activity.



Principal Accountabilities
 
  • To deliver a blend of strategic and tactical sales & marketing plans, on budget, through ROI driven, multi-channel campaigns via consumer and trade channels for the portfolio of accounts in your remit for London Stansted Airport .  Report results back in a timely manner.

 

  • Marketing delivery must be based on retail/partner/ London Stansted Airport priorities including the monitoring and reporting on key account forward sales figures against budget (as applicable) using this insight to drive activity at all times.

 

  • All activity must work in conjunction with marketing support channels (CRM, Digital and PR) to ensure marketing activity is integrated, promotes other London Stansted Airport/M.A.G commercial products as applicable and helps to deliver the wider marketing  targets (eg web income and data collection).

Knowledge, Experience and Skills 

 

  • Educated to degree level is desirable and a minimum of 4 years marketing experience.  A Marketing qualification is desirable but not essential.  Strong commercial acumen is a must.

  • Experience in the   retail and/or shopping centre sectors is desirable but not essential. 

  • Astute and flexible, with strong influencing skills and entrepreneurial approach to marketing.  Ability to manage both urgent tactical activity with more strategic plans.

  • Proven experience of integrated campaign planning and execution. Must have a strong understanding of the online and offline marketing environment, and ability to manage creative agencies effectively.

  • Be ready to work evening/weekend events alongside your accounts as required, particularly in relation to events.

  • Must be an innovative thinker, with evidence of an inquisitive approach to marketing, continually looking for new ways of increasing revenue.

  • Strong relationship builder / interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.

  • Customer focussed, self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude and bags of enthusiasm to make a real difference to MAG

  • Must be prepared to travel to MAG’s Manchester Head Office as and when required.
