We are looking for a number of Terminal Security Officers to join the security team at Stansted Airport!

In this role, you’ll get involved in anything from searching customers and their luggage, through to operating equipment like x-rays and observing screens. Patrolling our sites is also a big part of these roles, and you’ll be expected to make decisions and take action fast.

Not only is this an exciting role, but when you think about how many customers pass through our airports each year, you realise that it is also pretty challenging too - especially during the busy summer months.




You don’t necessarily need experience as we offer full training, but you do need to have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach and perfect colour vision.

No block holidays during the contract period will be authorised.

There is a 3 week initial training period on a full time hours basis (paid accordingly) with attendance on each day compulsory.
 
Initial 12 month temporary contract.  The contract will be subject to review at the end of the period and may be extended or made permanent based on business requirements and personal performance. 

Contract – Contracts are on a part time basis covering a 24/7 operation – current average of 30 hours per week (guaranteed a minimum of 1040 hours per year).  Flexibility is essential as you may be required to work additional hours, paid accordingly.

£9.80 hourly rate rising to £10.85 plus appropriate shift allowance.

Shifts – shifts will vary between 4-12 hours in length dependant on business requirements and cover a 24/7 operation.  Shifts will include working as early as 0100 starts, late finishes, night shifts, weekend and bank holiday working.

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON A FLEXIBLE BASIS.

Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including a criminal record check, due to the nature of our security checks we are unable to consider any applications from candidates who have not lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
