Our Natural Resources division provides a complete range of remote site services, including accommodation, camp management, catering, maintenance, housekeeping and tree planting to public and private sector customers across a wide range of industries, such as mining, utilities, forestry, oil and gas. 

 

The team is comprised of some of the most experienced executives in the remote services industry and has over 100 years of combined experience working together.

 

Can you maintain control, and spearhead integration?

 

You’ll be tasked with overseeing the integrity and efficiency of our business transactions in the Quebec and Nunavut divisions. This is a management accounting position whereby you will adhere to policies and procedures, while implementing appropriate controls and processes into the day to day operation of the divisions. 

 

Due to the language barrier and geographic isolation, the Quebec/Nunavut divisions have operated as a somewhat autonomous small business within the greater Carillion organization, however we want you to spearhead greater integration while maintaining efficiency and responsiveness.

 

What you’ll do:-


Purchasing

Assist/direct procurement process
With input from the SLT, revamp the current bill approval process

Invoicing and Collection

Maintain and improve system for billing clients.

Management – Systems, Procedures, Accountability

Working with Regional and Operations Managers, develop appropriate controls and reports

Audit

Manage response to audits of the local business

 

What we’re looking for:-

 

  • CPA or CMA & University degree in Accounting/Business Administration

  • 5+ years of accounting experience & evidence of budgets, cost controls and financial management within a corporate environment

  • Bilingual – French & English
